Four Day Update

OK, here's the highlights of the last four days. 

Wednesday

stayed in Moab again. In the late morning drove the RV to Arches National Park. The views there are almost unearthly. Got to eat at a place called the Moab Brewery, where I had the best Ruben. After dinner, Loren and I walked over to a local theatre where we watched Transformers 2. (still love it.) 

Thursday 

We met Miso today, who is one of my mom's connections in Moab. He took us to the Colorado river, which we rafted in inflatable kayaks. He h

ad loaned us two waterproof cameras, and Dad accidentally lost one of them in the river. We spent the rest of the night at the RV park.

Friday

Drove about five hours today, and went to Heber. At the RV park, they had CHOCO TACOS, which are the king of all dairy deserts. Loren and I spent a good time fishing, but did not catch anything, again.

Yesterday

Loren's parents came to meet up with us, and we had lunch together. Loren and I got to stay at their hotel for the night, because they rented a second room for us. We swam in the hotel pool, which is awesome, and then drove to mom's show. The show was at an equestrian center, which was having a potluck dinner. (Yum) The show went great, and everyone had a good time.

I do think i need to control my snack habits because i had close to a gallon of Arizona Iced tea last night.

long time no post.  I am obviously bad at remembering this.

Saturday. 

in red river again until lunch. ate at a café with good music and great food. We drove to Colorado (one of my favorite states) and played at a cowboy dinner. nice people and fresh steak. we drove after the show and watched Dr. Strangelove, which is now one of my favorite movies.

Sunday.

scenic train ride to the top of a huge mountain where mom's show was. Made some new friends and saw some old ones. Got a massive sunburn, but was ok. also got to meet Michael Martin Murphy, one of my mom's musician friends. Rode the train back to the RV park.

Monday.

drove some more today. got to fish at the RV park but still could not catch anything :(. Rode my bike up a big mountain and coasted all the way back to the RV. (FUN) 

Today

drove to Uhtah. Really great scenery in Moab, where we are staying. Got to drive our bikes into town again, which is a nice area. tomorrow we plan to go tubing in a canyon. Which sounds really fun to me.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. 

Wednesday:

drove from Oklahoma city to Albuquerque. Not much to say about it. A little boring, and a long drive.

Thursday:

Got to have breakfast with Amado and J.B. Peña, who are artists and friends of my mom's. The show was at a art gallery which belongs to a good friend of ours, and Loren and i got to hang with their kids, who are friends of mine. The show went well (even though mom told some embaresing stories and corny jokes). 

 Today was pretty dang awesome. we drove to Tahos and walked around for a while. We then drove to the Red River Loren and I rode bikes into the town. We bought some deer jerky (realy good) and came back to the RV. We went fishing later, but never caught anything. :(

DAY 1: Label: AW-some.

Ok, today was great. We started the drive around 8 am, and went all the way to oklahoma city. The RV did great, and the dogs didn't get sick, so I had a great time on the road. We are staying at a very nice KOA campsite. Loren, the son of my mom's roommate from college, and I got to ride bikes around the campsite (footage to be posted later). We (Loren and I) have been going to a camp in North Carolina called Camp Arrowhead (also awesome) together for three years now and are taking this trip instead of camp this year (Pro: RV-ing is fun, Con: so is camp).  I'll keep you (yes you) updated for the rest of the trip                                                                                                                                                       

No Travel Today

Hey guys,

didn't leave as planed today. we're going to leave tomorrow morning instead. this did give me a chance to kind of goof off some more, and to swim a few laps in the pool.
